The 2024 Employment Collaborators’ Conference

The 2024 Employment Collaborators’ Conference

16/12/2024

On the morning of December 15, the Dak Lak Employment Service Center (Department of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs) coordinated with Hoang Ha Human Resource Development Joint Stock Company (Ho Chi Minh City) to organize the 2024 Collaborators’ Conference.

In 2024, the province aims to create jobs for approximately 30,350 workers, achieving 100.5% of the plan, including about 1,700 workers sent abroad (reaching 100% of the target).

This success is attributed to the efforts of various sectors, departments, and localities, as well as the contributions of employment collaborators. They act as the "extended arm" of the provincial Employment Service Center, connecting workers, particularly those seeking opportunities abroad.

In addition to leveraging traditional labor export markets such as Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan (China), in 2024, the provincial Employment Service Center will actively collaborate with reputable labor export units and businesses licensed by the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs to send workers to new markets such as Romania, Poland, and Algeria. This effort aims to diversify labor market options for workers. However, the center continues to prioritize Japan as a key market due to its outstanding advantages and suitability for Vietnamese workers, particularly those from the province.

At the conference, representatives from Hoang Ha Human Resource Development Joint Stock Company provided insights into the labor export process, information about the Japanese labor market, and details about associated fees. This enabled the collaborators attending the conference to offer workers and their families comprehensive, clear, and accurate consultations. By building trust, workers can feel secure in choosing the labor export market and selecting suitable work orders provided by the company.

The company pledged to workers and their families that all labor export orders introduced through the provincial Employment Service Center are verified by authorized functional agencies. After workers depart for Japan, the company’s overseas staff will provide support if any issues arise related to living or working conditions. This ensures workers can confidently complete their contracts. Upon returning to Vietnam, the company will continue to assist workers in claiming their insurance contributions and provide guidance for suitable employment opportunities should they wish to rejoin the labor export program.

Since 2022, the Dak Lak Employment Service Center has established a network of employment collaborators. However, their effectiveness has not met expectations, leading to instances where workers in remote areas, ethnic minority regions, and disadvantaged locations have been "deceived" into working abroad. Additionally, some workers have gone abroad at costs higher than regulations allow, while others, along with their families, have chosen informal labor export channels, exposing themselves to significant risks.

Representatives of the professional department of Dak Lak Employment Service Center shared more information about labor export.

At the conference, employment collaborators shared difficulties and challenges they faced while providing advice and introducing overseas employment opportunities. These concerns were addressed by the two organizing units, who also provided updated information on labor markets and regulations of host countries for foreign workers.

The conference is expected to strengthen connections between the employment advisory and placement network and licensed enterprises specializing in sending workers abroad.
